McLaren 1

Overview: Review coming soon.

Ferrari 458 :-

Overview: A somewhat overwrought interior and a stratospheric price—oh, and a lengthy waiting list—are the only noteworthy flaws we can cite with Ferrari’s signature sports car, the 458 Italia. The quintessential exotic, the Italia looks wild, accelerates ferociously, sounds like an F1 racecar, yet is surprisingly easy to drive.

The 2014 Acura TSX ranks 5 out of 13 Upscale Small Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of published reviews and test drives of the Acura TSX, as well as reliability and safety data.

With its well-appointed interior and balanced handling, test drivers say the 2014 Acura TSX is an intelligent, fun-to-drive option among upscale small cars.

The base 2014 TSX comes with a four-cylinder engine that many reviewers think is lively and provides decent acceleration. A V6 engine is optional, and a few critics think that it outshines the four-cylinder, saying that it is more powerful and refined. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard, and a six-speed manual is optional. Some test drivers write that the manual transmission is particularly fun to use, with an easy-to-engage clutch and a slick shifter. A TSX with the four-cylinder engine and automatic transmission gets an EPA-estimated 22/31 mpg city/highway, which is good for the class. Test drivers agree that the 2014 TSX deftly balances ride comfort and agile handling, thanks to a firm, yet forgiving, suspension, accurate steering and strong brakes.
The 2014 Acura ILX ranks 12 out of 13 Upscale Small Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of published reviews and test drives of the Acura ILX, as well as reliability and safety data.

Critics say the 2014 Acura ILX has a number of high-tech features, but that it’s not as luxurious, nimble or powerful as other cars in its class.

The base 2014 Acura ILX has a four-cylinder engine that some reviewers think could use more power. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard, and one reviewer says that the ILX might offer better acceleration if it had more gears. A more powerful four-cylinder engine is available, which is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and most reviewers agree this combination makes the ILX more fun to drive. Still, one critic writes that an automatic transmission should be available with the more powerful engine. According to the EPA, the ILX gets up to 24/35 mpg city/highway, which is good for the class. Most test drivers say that the ILX goes around corners fairly well, with just a little body lean when the road gets twisty. Additionally, one reviewer thinks that the steering feels a bit numb. However, most auto writers note that the ILX offers a comfortable ride and strong brakes.

If you read up on the debut of the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, you know almost everything there is to know about the 2015 GMC Canyon. The two mid-size pickups share all major mechanical content, differring mainly in styling details and model nomenclature. Both will be available in extended- and crew-cab configurations (neither will build regular-cabs); both will offer buyers a choice of four-cylinder and V-6 power, with the option of sending that power to the rear or all four wheels; and both will introduce a four-cylinder turbo-diesel in the years after launch.

More important, the Colorado and the Canyon return to showrooms after a three-year hiatus. Since its 1.5 million-unit heyday in 1984, U.S. sales for the mid-size and compact pickup segments have shrunk more than 80 percent. In recent years, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Ford, and Chrysler all have taken down their tents in mid-size truck-ville and gone home. Full-size pickups are where the volume is today (around 2 million of them were sold in North America in 2013), and the segment is where the money is, too. Sales of full-size pickups account for roughly two-thirds of the profits at General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler.
